    Answer to PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS CORNER
D - Process benchmarking refers to the search for organizations that perform the "best" in a particular area, and the examination of their processes for the purpose of emulating them. Before initiating process benchmarking, a number of questions need to be answered. These include: "Is the organization willing to make a major change? (Option A); "Is the expected improvement worth the expenditure? (Option B); "Are the results important to the organization, (Option C). The issue of whether the organization keeps the information secret is not of particular concern within process benchmarking.
